Netbanker reports that Digital FCU, Sharon CU, Hanscom FCU, Service CU and Paragon FCU have begun offering remote deposit capture services to their members. The RDC solution, DepoZip, is a new product from Massachusetts-based corporate credit union, EasCorp.

In the banking world, RDC has been going strong for several years according to financial research firm Celent. In a report published in June 2007, they noted that as of early 2007, nearly a third of all US banks had adopted RDC solutions.

This latest string of CUs to implement an RDC solution for their members helps to illustrate the adoption of this service by the credit union industry.
