Many of us have goals. Whether they are written down, in our head, advertised on the wall or in a poster on the wall. Goals are a powerful motivator. There are thousands, if not millions, of articles that have been written about the power of achieving goals.
Tony Robbins and countless others have made a career of speaking and writing about the power of goals. Almost all of these speakers and authors focus on the success you can achieve by having goals for yourself and your institution. What about your members’ goals?
You can be assured that most of your members have at least one goal in their life. Is there anything you can do to help your members achieve their goal? Maybe there is. And it may just pay dividends greater than any marketing campaign. If you surveyed your members, you might find that over half have goals relating to financial security or saving for a special event in the future. If you helped your member achieve their goal, imagine how happy that member would be and imagine how many other people they would tell about how their credit union helped them in achieving their goal.
Look for a post on Friday if you want some ideas on how to help members in achieving their goals. If you have ideas, please add them in the comments section!
